American Airlines Flagships of the Air Aviation Movies DVD

The first 27 air routes  in the US are illustrated connecting the Yankee Clippers on one side and the China Clippers on the other side. Chicago Airport:  arriving and taking off. Shows air mail going up front, air conditioning being pumped in, and then the passengers filing on board.  In board scenes,  taxiing, take off preparations and departure for New York.  Scenes of Chicago from the air and then Dearborn and Detroit,  Michigan, and later Niagara Falls. At one point, a pilot takes the time to explain what radio beams are to some passengers, and how they help the craft stay on course. The film shows other flights taking off and landing from different points in the US.  Discusses overnight flights where passengers sleep in full berths with warm or cool air, as needed. Delightful scenes dramatize how businessmen can be more productive by flying from one city to another. Travel agencies are born, designed to help the traveler get the best deal. The advantages of flying are discussed: less time away; longer vacations, etc.  The film ends with the passengers disembarking in New York, and new passengers embarking for Chicago.
