Film produced in 1965 by the Aero Commander Division of Rockwell-Standard Corporation. This footage contains much of the history of the Jet Commander Model 1121 aircraft which was manufactured in Bethany, Oklahoma and made it's maiden flight in January 1963, FAA Type certification in November 1964 and customer deliveries beginning in 1965. A total of 150 of these aircraft were built  and were purchased by many of the leading USA corporations prior to the manufacturing rights being sold in 1968 to the Israel Aircraft Industry (IAI). Due to the non-availability of demonstration aircraft in the mid sixties, the original  film was professionally produced for the Aero Commander Sales Department, used by it's Commander Distributor Network to assist in their sales presentations and used as a sales tool to "show and tell'  their prospects about the all new Corporate Jet Commander. Scenes include rare footage of the renown annual Redding, PA Airshow and attended by thousands of aviation enthusiasts for many years. Also shown are "fly-by" off-the-beach scenes of formation flights of the Jet Commander, Model 680FL Grand Commander and Model 560 Piston Commander at the NBAA Convention in Miami, FL all of which were filmed the mid-1960's. This collectable piece of aviation history contains many scenes of the first flights of the new Jet Commander as well as many of it's factory employees, who built and sold the new Jet from the Oklahoma Wiley Post Airport.
